Use Jack Pot rewards. No biscuits or milk bones. Learn what treats your dog finds motivating which is often real food rewards.
Focus on what you want your dog TO DO as opposed to correcting what he has done.
Yada your dog! (know your dog through experience). What does he like or dislike? What does he need? What is his favorite toy? Favorite food? What activities does he enjoy best?
Be consistent and avoid confusing your dog. Don’t use SIT DOWN when you want your dog to sit and then LAY DOWN when you want him to lie. A simple SIT and DOWN provide clear expectations to your dog.
